Trees ... Now You See Them, Now You Don't
by Ann Hope
CEUs: APLD, ISA

We will analyze the current situation effecting Southern California with pest such as the ISHB, the EAB, the GSOB and the SAPW. The seminar will address how much pesticide are we going to use to stop the spread of these insects as well as the importance of Trees in our Urban Forest. IMP & BMP for the current pest issue facing the United States & South Africa.
Large removal in one part of the country can affect trees on the side of the country. Also covered will be the importance of not moving wood/educating those who do move wood and teaching how to do it correctly.
The removal of trees will also be discussed, including how mature trees provide protection against the weather & carbon sequestered and should not be removed.
How many trees do we remove 1, 100, or 100 million? Can the trees live through this?
This is not just our problem, but a global problem.

TLE seminars are "more advanced than typical conference seminars."
