As presented from three perspectives: ‘a developer’s land use needs; a City planner’s comment response
role and the arborist’s report point of view’, find an ‘ah-ha moment’. Preserving trees during land
development involves many competing elements—a challenging task. Mitigation measures are a planner’s
tool to resolve this challenge. To successfully resolve this challenge it is necessary to involve the right
people, meet at the right time, and specify the right tasks and timing to be implemented. The talk will
provide developers, planners and arborists with working tips on methods, practices, and report language
and where emphasis should be directed—to add to their toolbox for consulting.
