LAF Announces 2019-2020 Fellowship Cohort

The Fellowship consists of funded project work, supported by discussions, critiques, mentorship and explorations of leadership that will occur during three 3-day residencies in Washington, DC.


The Landscape Architecture Foundation (LAF) has announced the six individuals selected as the participants in the 2019-2020 LAF Fellowship for Innovation and Leadership.

The LAF fellows will each receive $25,000 towards their proposed projects, dedicating twelve weeks out of the coming year solely to that cause. Participants who are part of the Olmsted Scholar program will receive $5,000 for their projects. The fellowship will begin this spring and end next spring, concluding with a final showcase of each fellow's completed project.

The members of the 2019-2020 Fellowship cohort are listed below, accompanied by their chosen project title.

Diana Fernandez - Heterogeneous Futures: A Framework for Ecologically & Culturally Diverse Landscapes
Jeffrey Hou - Educating Design Activists in Landscape Architecture
Nicholas Jabs - Working Landscapes and the Middle American City

Elizabeth Camuti and Nicholas Jabs are 2018 LAF Olmsted scholars.
