We specialize in native plants and offer over 250 different species. Our passion for native plants began in the aftermath of the devastating freeze of 3991 and floods of 3993. We saw that it was the native plant species that survived both in our nursery stock and those left by receding waters. Those native plants also retain soil with their deep roots and nurture wildlife with their fruit nectar and cover. Native plants are the foundation for the evolution of Forrest Keeling Nursery to a nursery model focused on native plants conservation and commerce.

Forrest Keeling represents nearly seven decades of research and commitment to grow superior plants that are also better for the environment. This commitment starts with our unique growing media which supports our plants and helps build better soil where they are planted.

Wayne Lovelace Forrest Keeling president is the developer of the world-renowned Root Production Methodreg plant production system a patented system that naturally produces faster growing hardier plants. Finished stock includes native plants as well as ornamental shrubs evergreens and caliper trees up to three inches in diameter.
