Learn to use Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS) video and images for landscape resource management, marketing, site planning, and design. Learn about the current but rapidly changing drone technology and FAA requirements for its use. Learn to identify the limitations of your UAS and restrictions on where you are planning to fly. Learn to navigate the local and federal regulation regarding your UAS. Provide a summary of the FAA Small Unmanned Aircraft Rule (Part 107). Provide an outline and basic understanding of the requirements and process of obtaining your Remote Pilot Certification required for commercial use of your UAS.

Greg is a Licensed Landscape Architect with eighteen years of experience in landscape architecture, landscape construction, landscape maintenance management, and water conservation. He received his Bachelor of Science in Landscape Architecture from Cal Poly Pomona in 2003 where a major focus of his study was irrigation design and landscape construction methods and materials. Following graduation, Greg focused on providing a ‘smart’ and sustainable approach to landscape construction, irrigation design, and project management. His understanding of the multiple disciplines and processes involved with complex projects has given him the ability to manage effectively and provide construction management on large park and land development projects. His experience with municipal clients includes managing landscape maintenance contracts, assisting in streamlining public works field procedures, providing on-site trouble-shooting with cost effective solutions, as well as completing various scale municipal design and design-install projects.
