Rick Bartel, Program Administrator of the Savio Water Feature Institute, and the 2010 Best Selling Author of the new (1st print run already sold out--In 2nd print now) water feature design book "The RISE Method", holds a Master of Science degree in Wildlife Biology, with an emphasis in habitat management. As a 25 year veteran water feature designer, Rick is credited with reaching the eleven million gallon milestone with his water feature creations worldwide. He is one of only a few Certified Master Water Feature Specialists in the entire country and has been internationally published more than 500 times for articles on the subject of quality water feature design and installation.

Rick and his work have been featured on the DIY Network's Waterscapes Workshop as well as HGTV's Extreme Landscapes, and most notably recognized throughout the industry for his development of the phenomenal R.I.S.E. Method; a naturalistic approach to rock and boulder placement techniques resulting in more than 1800 national and international awards and recognitions for his amazing work. He is also a design consultant for the National Wildlife Federation's Habitat Program with more than 350 certified and sustainable wildlife refuges centered on his water creations.

Course Description: Learn the inside secrets to designing the most awesome, naturalistically pleasing and profitable water features for today's market! Ponds, streams and waterfalls must contain certain key elements and characteristics that will meet both the needs of your clients expected end results as well as the profitable margins necessary for any business to stay afloat. Eric Triplett, aka, The Pond Digger(R), owns and operates Exotic Aquatics, a pond specialty retail and wholesale distribution center, as well as The Pond Digger Waterscape Design and Construction Company, based out of Redlands, California.

The Pond Digger construction crew has appeared in two ABC TV Extreme Home Makeovers, and has hosted more than two dozen different Ponds for Schools(TM) programs at schools throughout Riverside and San Bernardino counties, installing both disappearing pondless waterfalls, rock column fountains and ponds, for kids.

Bill Rose is the founder and creative force behind Fountains Unique, LLC., a specialty fountain accessory company located in Laguna Hills, California. Fountains Unique specializes in the design & fabrication of high quality spouts, scuppers, bowls & other fountain accoutrements not found anywhere else, as well as custom carved stone fountains.

Always the innovator, in 1978 Bill designed, built & installed a pottery fountain in his own home based upon the "disappearing waterfall" concept that is so popular today. In addition, Bill has two patents pending for innovative concepts designed to facilitate the installation of fountain accessories.

Course Description: The course will cover these topics: (1) Pre-planning to save installation time & money and to avoid call-backs; (2) The most common profit-robbing mistakes & how to avoid them; (3) Construction methods/details that prevent leaks in fountains and fixing problems in existing fountains- - no matter who built it.
