Course Description
Climate-based reference evapotranspiration (ETo) data can be used to achieve water conservation and effective water management in urban landscapes. Typical development guidelines and water conservation regulations require complex calculations to estimate ETo-based water budgets and irrigation schedules even though the formulas do not reliably estimate landscape water needs. There is a very simple yet accurate means of using ETo to estimate landscape water needs based on recent research. Participants will learn the new simplified approach for estimating landscape water needs plus how to use it and find ETo data.
