Scentsy Commons Corporate Campus, Meridian, Idaho

Since 2010, CTA has partnered with Scentsy, Inc., a growing wickless candle company. CTA's land planners and landscape architects have worked to develop a 50-acre corporate campus that boasts courtyards, plazas, outdoor recreation spaces and water features. The campus features steel trestle arbors, post and beam pergolas, and curvilinear walls and bridges made from concrete and limestone. There is locally quarried granite and sandstone, plus permeable pavers and crushed granite walking paths. The landscape is native trees and shrubs, including three rooftop gardens with a mix of sedums, groundcovers and small shrubs. The views are to Boise National Forest to the north and Owyhee Mountains to the south.

Humboldt General Hospital Long-Term Care Facility Courtyard Winnemucca, Nev.

CTA designed a multifunctional courtyard offering a variety of seating areas, raised garden beds and a mix of concrete finishes. The heart of the garden is a 30-by-40 foot gathering plaza with a water feature and memorial to the courtyard's donor. The space is denoted with colored concrete, a heavy post and beam armor and teak seating. Planting beds filled with native plants complement the desert landscape of northern Nevada.

Silverbrook Estates Kalispell, Mont.

Silverbook Estates encompasses 300 acres along the Stillwater River. CTA's land planners and landscape architects completed the master plan for this 586-lot subdivision. Amenities include lush open space and active parks with sports fields and age-appropriate playgrounds. Traditional materials of stone and timber are the bedrock of the design, reflecting northern Montana's vast landscapes. Working with Kalispell city leaders, the community and commercial district have become a Western example of comprehensive planning and design.
