Bon Secours Washington Redskins Training Facility Richmond, Virginia

Timmons Group led the design team in the programming, site selection (11 sites considered), and master planning for Richmond's showcase sports medicine venue. The site is divided into three distinct zones. The Bon Secours Wellness Center is a year-round youth and men's facility that becomes the Washington Redskins Football Team Training Headquarters for three weeks a year. The Redskins Training Field contains two NFL competition fields and one drill field that are central to the fan and media experience. The amphitheater and urban park feature native plants, lush meadow grasses, and a water feature that form a natural wildlife area within an urban setting.

Social Security Administration National Support Center, Urbana, Maryland

Situated atop a natural pastureland, the Social Security Administration Data Center blends seamlessly into the surrounding area. Timmons Group provided landscape architecture, site engineering, and storm water management services that included preservation and restoration of native and adaptive species to support wildlife. In addition, onsite low-impact stormwater features were implemented to shroud the site from the adjoining highway and commerce center. Roof runoff is collected and stored within an underground cistern to supplement a cooling tower and irrigate the landscape.

Stone Brewing, Richmond, Virginia

Stone Brewing opened its 200,000-square-foot East Coast production and distribution center in March 2016. Timmons Group provided landscape architecture, environmental services, geotechnical engineering, surveying and site engineering for this 14-acre facility in the Fulton neighborhood, east of downtown Richmond. The site incorporates many found and reclaimed materials that honor its history and industrial character and complement the brewery building. Native landscaping and reforestation plantings increased the biodiversity and improved the habitat of the Gillies Creek watershed.
