Alabama Nursery and Landscape Association


ALNLA went to Washington, D.C., with AmericanHort to Impact Washington on September 11-13. They met with Representative Martha Roby's staff on issues affecting the industry such as immigration reform and tax reform.


The association's Horizon Award was given to annually to recognize a qualified person for outstanding service in the field in horticulture. The recipient must be currently active in the green industry and should also be less than thirty-six years old or have been in the Green Industry eight years or less regardless of age. This year's recipient was, Glenn Ponder.


The 2017 winner of the ANLA Lifetime Achievement Award offered annually to recognize an individual who has contributed to the advancement of the green industry and to the association, has been active in the green industry for twenty-five years or more and is active member of the ANLA, was Greg Smith, shown here with past president Bryan Word (L) and current ALNLA president Cliff Myers.
