The Landscape Expo in Long Beach, California, will not only host dozens of seminars significant to landscaping in the West, it will present the prospect to visit hundreds of exhibitors featuring cutting-edge technologies and techniques.

Landscape professionals looking to expand their proficiency and receive continuing education units (CEUs) have an ideal opportunity to do so soon amongst the attractions of Southern California at The Landscape Expo - Long Beach.

On Oct. 19 and 20, TLE-LB will host 39 approved CEU seminars that cover water management, tree care, pest control, lighting and design, soil management, plant management and more.

Sanctioning associations include Professional Grounds Management Society, National Association of Landscape Professionals, Association of Outdoor Lighting Professionals, Irrigation Association, Department of Pesticide Regulation, Tree Care Industry Association, and West Coast-International Society of Arboriculture.

Seminars include "Sustainable Lighting for the Residential Landscape," with renowned landscape architect Yvonne English presenting strategies to minimize light pollution without reducing exterior light quality, or health, safety and welfare. She will also lead "Planting Design," exploring the subject as both an art and a science.

In "Revisions to the Certification Rule," Geoff Gretchenson, a licensed specialist in pesticide laws and regulations will explain the rationale for the proposed revisions to EPA's rule, the standards of competency that distinguishes certified commercial applicators from certified private applicators, and the legal ability to form contracts as it relates to pesticides and pest management.

Attorney Milene Apanian will delve into a subject near and dear to every business owner in her seminar "Getting Paid on Construction Projects and Increasing Profits." She is a partner at Abdulaziz, Grossbart & Rudman where she specializes in helping contractors, subcontractors, and material suppliers avoid and efficiently resolve disputes and get the money owed them.

For more help with business issues, one of America's top asset protection experts Larry Oxenham will conduct the seminars "Don't Kill Your Golden Goose: Succession Strategies to Protect and Perpetuate Your Business," and "How Landscape Business Owners Can Become Invincible to Lawsuits and Save Thousands in Taxes."
