The ASLA Colorado Professional Design Awards Program recognizes Colorado and Wyoming Licensed Landscape Architecture professionals in their pursuit to lead, educate and participate in careful stewardship, wise planning and artful design of our cultural and natural environment.

The Professional Design Awards Program is open to all ASLA Colorado members; all entrants must have an active ASLA Colorado membership to enter. All categories must be entered by a licensed Landscape Architect who resides in Colorado or Wyoming. The Awards Event will be held on December 1, 2011 at the Four Seasons Hotel in Denver.

Once a project receives an award, it is no longer eligible for entry in future ASLA Colorado Design Awards programs. Costly or unusual presentations are neither necessary nor allowed. All submittals will be reviewed in advance for compliance with the requirements, completeness and anonymity. Submittals not meeting the requirements shall be rejected prior to jury review. Submission fees are non-refundable unless special circumstances arise.

All submissions will be judged individually, not in competition with each other. Design excellence is not dependent upon size, type, or cost, but is recognized through individual merit on its own. In the spirit of continuity and award integrity, the submissions will be judged by a jury of noted design professionals from another state's ASLA chapter. Jurors will be looking for those essential, distinguishing virtues that are immediately clear and are characterized by concise but thorough rationale. The jury will fill out a score sheet with comments to show how an entrant did and its chances if a resubmittal was suggested.

Deadline for receipt of entries at Williamson Images is November 1, 2011 at 3:00 pm. Williamson Images (303) 883-8359 - Attn: Robb Williamson, ASLA 9446 Morning Glory Lane Highlands Ranch, Colorado 80130.

ASLA Colorado promotes the development, education and awareness of the landscape architecture profession in Colorado. With unparalleled professionalism, ASLA Colorado members are dedicated to inspiring the public through work that enhances natural and built environments.
