Design on Delaware Conference

The three-day Design on Delaware Conference is being promoted by the ASLA Pennsylvania/Delaware chapter. Educational seminars and a trade show will be featured at the event scheduled for early November.

The ASLA Pennsylvania/Delaware Chapter is promoting the 9th Annual Design on the Delaware Conference & Trade Show, scheduled for Nov. 7 - 9 in Philadelphia.

Design on the Delaware is a three-day conference and trade show that brings together design and building professionals, business and public leaders, product and service providers for a two day trade show and three days of professional education and networking.

The event is a collaborative effort of 25 professional organizations representing 10,000 design and building professionals in Eastern Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware.

Keynote speakers for this event include: Mahadev Raman, engineer and Chair of the Americas, ARUP; Ellen Dunham-Jones, AIA, award-winning architect and professor of architecture and urban design at Georgia Tech, author of ''Retrofiiting Suburbia''; Mitchell Joachim, architect, leader in ecological design and urbanism; and Charles Waldheim, Chair, Department of Landscape Architecture Harvard University Graduate School of Design who coined the term ''landscape urbanism.''

Design on the Delaware will offer two general sessions and six sessions in six program tracks and tours. 44 hours of continuing education programs and three days of tours will be offered. Attendees can earn up to 20 Continuing Education Units. All seminars, keynote presentations and tours will offer AIA Continuing Education Learning Units that are accepted in all states requiring continuing education for licensure.

The trade show floor will feature exhibitors of interest to members of Design on the Delaware collaborating organizations. The exhibit hall will be open: Day One, 11:45 am to 2:15 pm (lunch served in exhibit hall); 3:15 pm to 3:45 pm (refreshment break in exhibit hall) and Day Two 11:45 am to 2:15 pm (lunch served in exhibit hall).
