IF Calls for Student Sponsorships

The IF, a 501(c)(3) organization established by the Irrigation Association, calls for student sponsorships for their E3 program.

The Irrigation Foundation calls for student sponsorships for their E3 program, which was launched in 2012 and developed to engage the next generation of irrigation professionals through industry-focused exposure, experience and education.

Funded by industry contributions, Irrigation E3 brings students and educators to the Irrigation Show and Education Conference to participate in classes, industry sessions and networking events.

Irrigation E3 learners (students) and leaders (faculty) are selected annually by Foundation representatives based on a formal nomination and application process. A minimum of four students will receive all-expenses-paid trips to the 2013 show.

Full-time college and university students are eligible to apply to become Irrigation E3 learners. Applicants must be nominated by an instructor, have expressed an interest in an irrigation-related career path and have taken or be currently enrolled in an irrigation class.

Applications for the class of 2013 are due September 13th.

Irrigation professionals and firms can help promote industry careers by:

  • Encouraging promising students and academics to apply to the program.
  • Sponsoring the Irrigation E3 learners program.
  • Getting involved in the Foundation's careers task group.
Sponsoring the Irrigation E3 learner program requires a minimum donation of $2,500. Sponsors will be recognized during the Irrigation Show General Session, in the Irrigation Foundation Annual Report and in initiative marketing materials. Sponsors will also have the opportunity to meet privately with students at the show, have student(s) work their booths for a set time period during the show, and will receive learner testimonials to promote their companies' support.
