LAF Now Accepting Fellowship Applications
Submit Project Proposals for 2019-2020

LAF's $25,000 year-long fellowship provides the chance for mid-career and senior-level landscape architects to "explore, research, develop, and test big ideas" that will positively impact the landscape architecture industry.

The Landscape Architecture Foundation is accepting applications for its LAF Fellowship Innovation and Leadership program for the year 2019-2020. Since its launch two years ago, the fellowship has supported innovation, leadership, and mentorship in landscape architecture by providing the opportunity for selected professionals to put their proposals into action.

To be eligible, you must have at least six years of professional experience in the field of landscape architecture and commit to your proposed project for approximately three-months' time.

Three to four fellowships are awarded each year based on their project proposals. Those who are selected as Fellows must also take part in residencies in Washington, D.C., and attend monthly conference calls. During that time, the cohort and three emerging professionals from LAF's Olmsted Scholars Program build leadership skills and participate in critical discussions.

Projects can include:
• Theoretical or historical investigations
• Product or program development
• New practice or service models
• Built work
• Activities that create knowledge and empower the field of landscape architecture

The deadline to submit applications materials is September 15, 2018.

Fellows will be announced on January 2019.
