John Rahenkamp Consultants, Inc. is pleased to announce that Roswell S. McMullen, PE has joined the firm as consulting engineering group director. McMullen has over 28 years domestic and international project experience. In addition to his specialty, real estate development, he has managed the design and implementation phases on environmental, highway, traffic, water and wastewater projects. He is a licensed professional engineer in Delaware, New Jersey, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Virginia.

John Rahenkamp Consultants has recently concluded negotiations to acquire 3400 square feet of additional office space at their current location on 125 North 8th Street, Philadelphia, PA to accommodate the newly created engineering group.

Mark McCumber and Associates, under the direction of PGA Tour Professional Mark McCumber and McCumber Construction, both of Middleburg, Florida, have been commissioned to design and build an 18 hole golf course at the Vineyards, an exclusive residential development in Naples, Florida. The announcement was made by J. Christopher Commins, Senior Vice President, McCumber Golf, the parent company for Mark McCumber and Associates, McCumber Construction and McCumber Consultants.

David H. Tatsumi & Associates, a Costa Mesa, California-based landscape architectural firm, is pleased to announce the addition of Jimmy Ogata to their landscape architectural design team. His current responsibilities include the development of design concepts, construction documents, cost estimates and construction administration. He has specific expertise in the development of construction documents including: staking, drainage, irrigation, planting plans and their related details.

His professional background includes design participation in commercial/ residential development and resort hotel projects. He has a bachelor’s degree in landscape architecture from California State Polytechnic University in Pomona, California.

The Keith French Group is pleased to announce the appointment of Cecile Holloway to the position of associate in the San Clemente, California office.

George Schmok, Publisher of The Landscape Architect and Specifier News recently announced the promotion of Ralph E. Pulido to the position of Director of Sales. Ralph, who has been with LASN for a year, will be coordinating the sales at LASN. In addition, Ralph will be spearheading upcoming campaigns to open new markets in the Landscape Architectural Profession. According to Mr. Pulido, “the magazine is growing at such a rapid pace primarily because more and more Landscape Architects are calling LASN ‘their’ trade journal. As our sales staff continues to grow, we are implementing several new programs that will allow us to deal with the growing number advertising clients in a continually efficient manner.”

L.O. Snoddy, President, Telsco Industries, has announced the appointment of Michael O. Snoddy as manager of product engineering for Weather-matic. The latter Snoddy brings to his new position more than 10 years experience with Weather-matic. Most recently he was regional sales manager for Weather-matic’s Rocky Mountain and Pacific Northwest sales regions. Prior to his assignment in Colorado, he was a production engineer at the company’s plant in Garland, Texas.

Leonard “Lenny” Charyak joined Shakespeare Electronics and Fiberglass Division of Anthony Industries in May as the western regional sales manager for fiberglass light pole products. This new position reflects, Shakespeare’s continuing commitment to expanding their service to the West Coast.

Prior to joining Shakespeare, Charyak had extensive experience in the western states as sales manager for a major pole manufacturer. He is establishing his central office in the Los Angeles area from where he will be responsible for pole sales to the 14 western states.






Steven Keefer


National Diversified Sales, Inc. (NDS), a manufacturer and distributor of plastic drainage valve fittings, catch basin and channel drains, is pleased to announce the appointment of Steven Keefer as the new western regional manager. Keefer comes to NDS with over 20 years of experience in the plumbing and irrigation industry. His past knowledge of the industry includes counterman to his most recent position at NDS.

The new position shall include responsibility of a number of the west coast representatives that distribute the large volume of products. Keefer will be working directly with Patrick Brighella, Vice President of Sales and Marketing.






Jon Williams


The Toro Company, Irrigation Division of Riverside, California, is pleased to announced the appointment of Jon Williams to the position of product manager, controllers. In his new post, Williams will be working closely with Toro engineering, manufacturing, finance and product assurance departments in a continual effort to develop new, innovative controllers and introduce them to the marketplace.

Williams has been part of the Toro family since 1984, having served as a controller repair technician, senior quality technician and technical service representative. Prior to joining The Toro Company, Williams worked as a sales and service representative for Pacific Equipment & Irrigation, a Toro distributor.

Williams has an extensive background in electronics, with formal training and experience gained in six years with Air Force and Air Force Reserve.

Don L. Thompson, National Sales Manager for Weather-matic, has announced the appointment of Gary Hilton as regional sales manager. According to Thompson, Hilton’s territory includes the Rocky Mountain states and the Pacific Northwest.

John E. Boething, President of Boething Treeland Farms, Inc., has announced that Sally Hilton, presently acting Wholesale Sales Manager and Vice-President in charge of Sales and Marketing, will assume the position of liason between the Management and Accounting departments.
