o Jim Howard of Hough Beck & Baird has recently been promoted to principal in the firm. Howard's work encompasses a wide range of projects including transportation corridors, urban streetscapes and educational facilities.

o TBG Partners have announced the addition of landscape architect Katie Eversmeyer to their Houston office. Eversmeyer earned a Bachelor of Landscape Architect Degree from Louisiana State University in 1997. Also at TBG, Landscape Architect, Toni R. Palmer, has been added to their Dallas office.

o Michael Kahnle of Foster Conant & Associates has been appointed to the position of associate. FCA is the oldest continually operating landscape architectural practice in Orlando, Fla.

o Landscape Architecture and planning firm, NUVIS, has named Ric J. Hendricks senior associate and manager of their office in San Ramon, Calif. Hendricks previously worked for LandPlan in Pleasanton, Calif. as a landscape designer and with Bensley Design Studios in Thailand as a resort designer.

o Chris Clark has joined ColeJenest & Stone as a design engineer II. Clark will be based in the firm's new field off in Hot Springs, Va.

o The HLA Group recently promoted Scott Redding, ASLA to the position of associate Landscape Architect. Redding joined The HLA Group in 1999 after receiving his Bachelor of landscape architecture degree from the University of Guelph in Ontario, Canada. He is former vice-president of the Sierra Chapter, ASLA.

o Rick Hume, ASLA, has joined the board of directors of the Great Park Conservancy, which supports the development of the Orange County Great Park.

o Ingrid Sandorff has joined Browning Day Mullins Dierdorf Architects (BDMD) as a graduate architect. Sandorff is a graduate of the Universidad Rafael Urdaneta in Venezuela and obtained her Masters in landscape architecture from the University of Pennsylvania in 2004.

o Paul Evanoff and Peter Berg of the firm JJR, recently accepted awards from the Michigan chapter of the ASLA for the firm's work on the Oden State Fish Hatcheries and Watershed Walk project and the Craig Mawr Cottage project. JJR specializes in landscape architecture, planning, urban design, civil engineering, and environmental science.

o WilsonMiller, Inc. has announced that Jeffrey Wilson, vice president and corporate business unit leader of Public Infrastructure Services, has been appointed to the newly formed Florida Gulf Coast University School of Engineering Advisory Board. Wilson joins 13 other civil engineers and construction industry professionals appointed to assist in the development of the vision, mission and strategic goals for the school.

o PlayCore has announced the addition of John L. Conely, Sr. to its executive team as Chief Operating Officer. Conely will be responsible for the full range of company operations.

o The Morton Arboretum's dendrologist emeritus and longtime champion of urban conservation, George Ware, Ph.D., recently received the 2005 Conservation Leadership Award at the Openlands annual luncheon. Ware has contributed in many ways to Openlands, in particular the TreeKeepers citizen's group for monitoring and caring for trees.

o EDSA was recently presented with an award from the Florida chapter of the ASLA. The Jim and Jan Family Center Village at Nova Southeastern University, Owensboro Riverfront District Master Plan and Radisson Aruba were recognized as projects that effectively blend artistic and sustainable design.

o Christy Sporleder has joined JDavis Architects as a Landscape Architect. In this position, Sporleder will assist other Landscape Architects and serve as a CADD Technician.
