o TBG Partners, landscape architecture and planning firm, has recently announced the addition of Landscape Architect Amy Harr, ASLA, to their Houston office. Amy earned a master's degree in landscape architecture from Texas A&M University in 2005. Also joining the TBG Houston office is Landscape Architect Yuki Kanda. Kanda earned a master's degree in landscape architecture from Louisiana State University in 2005.

o Linda Sievert has joined the Madison Wis., office of JJR. Sievert is an award-winning Landscape Architect with more than 29 years of experience in the field. JJR is a full service firm providing landscape architecture, planning, urban design, civil engineering, and environmental science services.

o Sam Kessel joined Norris Design recently after graduating from Iowa State University. Kessel brings expertise in the area of environmental design.

o Belt Collins recently added Vincent Chan as a project manager and civil engineer to their Hawaii office. Chan recently served as a senior project engineer at The Keith Companies in Irvine, Calif. Chan's expertise includes infrastructure design for commercial and industrial projects, the design of storm drain and flood routing/detention basin systems, and hydrology and hydraulics studies.

o Michael Cole, managing principal and co-founder of ColeJenest & Stone, is relocating from Charlotte to Raleigh. He will operate the firm's Raleigh office, which opened in 2004. Cole will continue to spend two days in the Charlotte office each week.

o Landscape Architect Ken Peregon, vice president of O'Boyle, Cowell, Blalock & Associates, Inc. recently participated in a Sustainable Design Assessment Team (SDAT) study of an area in Oklahoma City. Peregon focused on land planning and sustainable stormwater management issues. The American Institute of Architects (AIA) sponsors SDATs to bring volunteer professionals to work with community decision-makers and stakeholders.


o Ray Whitton has rejoined Vari-Lite as business development manager for the western region of the United States. Whitton will be based out of Simi Valley, Calif. and will be supporting the sales of all products made by Vari-Lite and Lightolier Controls.

o John Kirkpatrick has joined Belt Collins Hawaii Ltd. as a senior socio-economic analyst. Kirkpatrick most recently served as vice president for SMS Research & Marketing Services, Inc. where he was responsible for preparing socio-economic impact assessments, market studies, policy analyses, program evaluation, and survey reports.

o Rick Elyea has joined the Jacklin Seed by Simplot sales team as vice president of JacklinGolf. Elyea will provide support to golf course architects, support distribution and promote sales of Simplot's products.

o Robert Best will be leading Vista Professional Outdoor Lighting training seminars and offering field support in Northern California. The seminars cover lighting sales and marketing, design basics, installation techniques, photometrics and more. Steve Verona recently joined Vista as technical program director and will oversee all Vista training seminars.

o Van Noorden Company has promoted Carl Gundersen to vice president of sales and marketing. Van Noorden Company is an architectural and ornamental metal fabrication, laser cutting and assembly company; they are celebrating their 125th anniversary. Gundersen has 20 years of experience selling engineered material.

o PlayCore has announced the addition of John L. Conely, Sr. to its executive team as chief operating officer. In this role, Conely will be responsible for the full range of the company's operations, which consist of manufacturing and assembly facilities in Ft.
