Mary Bates

HHI has announced that Mary Bates, RLA, has completed the Landscape Architecture Registration Examination.

Karen M. Johnson has joined the staff of WilsonMiller as a project manager. Her initial duties will include working on parks projects for Charlotte County and environmental permitting issues. She will be based in WilsonMiller's Fort Myers office.

jB+a has announced that Katie M. Blankenstein, has joined the firm. Blankenstein is an urban designer with experience throughout the United States and China. Her areas of expertise lie in urban design, streetscape design, traffic calming, master planning, site planning, community planning and design, and park design. Blankenstein has a diverse background of experience pertaining to urban design, renovation and revitalization. She holds a bachelor of Landscape Architecture from the University of Georgia.

Tim Delorm, vice president and managing principal of EDAW's New Jersey office, has been promoted to east region director, a position formerly held by Bob Pell, who is assuming responsibilities as managing principal in EDAW's San Francisco based corporate office. In his expanded role, Mr. Delorm will provide leadership in developing strategic plans for EDAW's east coast offices in Alexandria, VA, Atlanta, GA and Miami Beach, FL. Delorm is an urban planner and registered landscape architect with a broad range of experience, and a focus on urban regeneration.

HRP LanDesign, a Santa Ana, Calif. landscape architecture firm, has promoted Kurt Buxton to senior principal and studio partner; Glen Sharrar to partner; Brian Hogan to senior associate; and Todd Larner has joined HRP as a senior associate planner.

Ken Brickman has been promoted to principal at ColeJenest and Stone P.A. Brickman joined the company in 1997 and was soon promoted to team manager. He received a bachelor of science degree from Ohio State University in 1995.

Vollmer Associates has added James Burke, RLA, and Ted Jasinski to its staff in the Wilmington, Delaware office.

Schoor DePalma has announced that it has named Edward Sawicki, P.E., as a principal of the firm. Sawicki, a vice president, has been with Schoor DePalma since 2000 and currently serves as the program director of the Utility Engineering and Construction Management team.

Jack McDonald

Tomkins PLC of London, England has announced the appointment of Jack McDonald as president of LASCO Bathware. McDonald has been President of LASCO Fittings since 1993 and will be retaining that position when he moves into his new role with Bathware. He has a BBA from Eastern Michigan University, Ypsilanti, Michigan.

Rain Bird Corporation has announced the advancement of Donn Mann to regional sales manager for the Midwest region and Dan Puthuff to regional sales manager for the Southwest region. They assumed responsibility for their new positions in April 2003. Mann will continue to work from Indianapolis and Puthuff will relocate to Phoenix.

Nancy Junk has joined the Seed Research of Oregon sales staff as a regional sales manager, General Manager Bill Dunn recently announced. Based in St. Joseph, Mo., Junk comes to Seed Research with over two decades of sales experience in the seed industry, having spent the past seven years as Director of Operations for Forage Genetics International.

Bayer Environmental Science recently announced a reorganization within the Chipco(R) Professional Products marketing group. The changes include several new positions, as well as adjustments within the structure of previous positions. The new slate of managers now includes: Jim Fetter, director of marketing; Marc McNulty, business manager, insecticides; George Raymond, business manager, Herbicides/PGRs; Eric Kalasz, business manager, fungicides; Mike Ruizzo, business manager, CNIs; Bryan Gooch, program manager.

Bob Franchetto

Horizon has named industry veteran Bob Franchetto as its new sales manager for its Horizon Water Management group. Franchetto will manage Arizona and California team of professionals focusing on central control irrigation systems.

HOT BOX(R) has announced the addition of Brian Devine as Southeast regional sales manager. Brian brings nine years of sales and sales management experience, the last five with Home Depot where he was a district manager.
