MSI, an urban design and landscape architecture firm, has named Brian D. Griffith to the position of project designer. Griffith joined the firm in January 2007 and is also a member of the American Society of Landscape Architects.

Scott A. Levy, principal of Scott Alan Design, Inc. Landscape Architects, has been elected president of the New Jersey Chapter of the American Society of Landscape Architects.

Stacey Martin

Stacey Martin has been promoted at ColeJenest & Stone, P.A. a comprehensive land development services, specializing in land planning, landscape architecture, civil engineering and urban design. Martin joined the firm in 2002.

Edsall & Associates LLC, landscape architects and urban designers received an Outstanding Award from the Ohio Parks and Recreation Association for the Newark Rotary Accessible Playground located at The Ohio State University/Central Ohio Technical College.

The Collaborative West announced the appointment of Richard Crichton to principal in the firm. Crichton received his BLA from the University of Arizona and is a member of the Home Builder Association of Central Arizona. He has been with The Collaborative West for nine years.

The Collaborative Inc. (TCI) recently recognized Dion Harris for outstanding performance. He joined TCI in 2005 and is a 2004 graduate of The Ohio State University (OSU) and holds a BLA. Harris is currently pursuing licensure in the State of Ohio.

Mark Strieter, RLA, joined Thomas Balsley Associates as a senior landscape architect. He received his MLA from University of Illinois Champaign-Urbana and is currently designing park and high-rise residential projects in New York City, Chicago, Ill. and Dallas, Texas for TBA.

Atlas Design Group, Inc. (ADG) recently announced the addition of landscape architecture services to the firm's existing fields of civil engineering, land planning, permitting and constructions administration.

Charles Redtide recently was promoted to Principal of Susan Black and Associates, Inc., of Seattle Wash., He will not only manage projects but also mentor young staff members in sustainable solutions in art and landscape architecture.

BSC Group has expanded its practice with the addition of Kurt Prochorena, PE, LEP, who will serve as the Director of Land Development for Connecticut. Prochorena has more than 16 years of experience as a consulting engineer, with extensive experience serving Connecticut’s public and private markets.

Barbara Austin

RVi Planning and Landscape Architecture is pleased to announce Barbara Austin and Paul Smith have been named principals with the firm. Austin holds a MLA and has more than 20 years experience in landscape architecture design. Smith is an active member of the local community and has served on the board of directors of the Austin History Center Association and Keep Austin Beautiful.

MSI announced that Rob W. Deiss received his professional license in landscape architecture through the state of Ohio. Deiss joined MSI in March 2006 as project designer and is also a member of the American Society of Landscape Architects.

Peregon, ASLA has been appointed to serve on the Kalamazoo Economic Development Corporation Board of Directors and the Brownfield Development Authority. OCBA provide landscape architecture, urban design, waterfront planning, land planning and site design services.

OCBA also announced the appointment of Elizabeth A. Heiny-Cogswell, ASLA to the Kalamazoo Metropolitan County Planning Commission. She was also selected to be the representative of the Planning Commission to the Kalamazoo County Park Commission.
