o Horton Lees Brogden Lighting Design has welcomed three new faces to the company. Heather M. Lion recently joined the company's New York office as a designer. Darcie A. O'Conner and Jason Groob have joined the company as designers in the Los Angeles office.

o Mariani Landscape, Lake Bluff and Bolingbrook, Ill., has announced that Jonathan Rudey, who started with the company in July as a project manager, was recently promoted to project director. Rudey recently graduated from Ohio State University with a degree in landscape architecture. The company has also announced that Douglas Hills, formerly principal of Douglas Hills Associates, Inc., landscape architects, has joined the firm.

o National Survey & Engineering, a division of R. A. Smith & Associates, Inc. --civil engineering, planning, surveying and technical services consultants --Brookfield, Wis., has added Nancy Parduhn Wilson as landscape designer, bringing the company's total landscape architectural staff to three.

o Jim Hunt, regional manager of geographic information systems at WilsonMiller, Inc., has earned the internationally recognized, industry standard Certified GIS Professional designation from the GIS Certification Institute. Hunt becomes one of only 70 GIS professionals in Florida and 780 worldwide to have received the prestigious GISP designation.
