Garden Associates Landscape Architecture, Inc. was presented with the 2010 Awards of Excellence for Best Landscaping Design from the Community Builders Association of New Jersey. The Award winning design features an entire site master plan inclusive of; native plantings, front landscaping and hardscaping. The Awards of Excellence Program is designed so that the Community Builders Association of NJ and Builders and Remodelers Association of Northern NJ may have the opportunity to recognize and promote members of the New Jersey Builders Association.

 




Elizabeth Marshall

 

Elizabeth ‘Libby’ Marshall, MLA has been re-elected as Chairman of the Florida Board of Landscape Architecture. Appointed by Governors, Jeb Bush and Charlie Crist this commences her second term as Chair.  She is a registered landscape architect with an undergraduate degree in Urban Politics, Policy and Planning from Princeton University and a Master of Landscape Architecture from Florida International University. She has completed two design studios abroad in Italy and Spain while holding a national certificate in Healthcare and Rehabilitative Design.

 




Carlos Amato

 

Cannon Design, an internationally ranked architectural, engineering and planning firm, announced Carlos Amato, AIA, ACHA, LEED AP, has joined the firm as principal, in the Los Angeles office. A board-certified healthcare architect with more than 22 years of experience in health care planning and design, He serves as chairman of the American College of Healthcare Architects’ Certificate Holders Committee, and co-chair of the American Institute of Architects’ Los Angeles Committee for Healthcare Architecture.

 




Joy Lyndes

 

SAGE Landscape Architecture & Environmental, Inc. announces that Founder and President Joy Lyndes graduated with honors from the University of Arizona College of Architecture and Landscape Architecture. Ms. Lyndes received a Masters in Landscape Architecture along with a Certificate in Preservation Studies. She previously earned a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture from the University of Arizona in1983.  National engineering and design consulting firm Kimley-Horn and Associates, Inc has bought Sage. The Sage offices at 2210 E. Fort Lowell Road will be closed and operations transferred to Kimley-Horn's nearby Tucson offices. The sale is effective Aug. 1.

Rhonda Fischer, RLA

 

Green Water Infrastructure (GWI), an environmental consulting company, has announced a new strategic partnership with Rhonda Fischer of Fischer Design, LLC. Fischer will bring her expertise in landscape architecture and planning to GWI on an as-needed basis. As president of Fischer Design, LLC, Fischer received her Landscape Architecture degree from Purdue University. She is a certified landscape architect with the State of Indiana Registered Landscape Architect, Indiana & City of Indianapolis Certified WBE, and the Environmental Habitat Steward Certificate, Indiana Wildlife Federation.

 




Nikki Dyess, Elaine Kalinowski & Chris Moore


Nikki Dyess has joined RVK, Inc. a leading architectural design, as a landscape designer. Nikki brings to the firm experience in water conservation techniques, recreational area master planning and multi-family residential complexes. Elaine Kalinowski recently joined RVK’s administrative department to assist with coordination and production of technical specifications. Elaine is a longstanding member of the Society for Design Administration. Chris Moore also joined RVK’s architectural studios. Chris received a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from Texas Tech University and is currently attending the University of Texas at San Antonio working towards his Master of Architecture.

 




Sean Murphy


SEI's (Southeastern Engineering, Inc.) Director of Planning and Landscape Architecture, Mr. Sean J Murphy has recently formed a collaborative effort with Farmer D Organics and Village Habitat Design that is to be known as the 'Farmer D Design Studio'. This collaboration of experts combines the respected detailed design talents of Mr. Murphy and the farm and organic gardening expertise of Daron Joffe (aka 'Farmer D') with the conservation community planning expertise of Greg Ramsey.
