Todd Jones

Responding to the resurgence in new home construction, Oldcastle Architectural has created the position of national homebuilder representative and named Todd Jones to educate builders on best practices for using masonry and hardscape products in their home designs and community development. Jones comes to Oldcastle from ULC-Landscape Architects and Contractors, a design/build firm in College Station, Texas, where he served as vice president of operations.

Kevin Westra

Kevin Westra joined Site Solutions as a project civil engineer. Westra earned a bachelor of science in civil & environmental engineering from South Dakota State University. He is a registered professional engineer licensed in five states. Westra has significant experience in private land development, but is also familiar with working with government agencies.

Karen Stoelzle Midden

Karen Stoelzle Midden accepted the position of the associate dean of the college of agricultural sciences at Southern Illinois University, Carbondale in January 2014. She is also a registered landscape architect in illinois and a professor at SIU. She received her MLA from the University of Georgia in 1983 and then worked for Edward D. Stone Jr and Associates. She began at SIU in 1985 as an instructor in landscape horticulture.

Debra Lemke

Stantec Consulting Services, an international engineering and design firm, acquired JBR Environmental and with it Debra Lemke, an environmental specialist located in Reno, Nev. She specializes in federal and state environmental regulatory permitting and planning, wetland science and erosion and sediment control. Lemke has over 18 years of project experience which includes wetland regulatory permitting, wetland delineations, wetland mitigation and monitoring plans.

Justin Wait

Quick Crete Products added a new member to the outside sales team, Justin Wait. He is an outside sales executive for the Los Angeles territory. Wait comes with a wealth of outside sales experience. He has been successful with bringing in new customers while being able to see to the needs of the existing clients. Wait attended the college of business at the Illinois State University where he earned his BS in business and majored in business marketing.

Shawn Kalbli

Shawn Kalbli has been promoted to vice-president/director of the Tallahassee, Fla. office of Wood+Partners Inc., a land planning and landscape architecture firm with offices also in Hilton Head Island, S.C. Kalbli joined the firm in 2006 and has overseen the design and implementation of a variety of complex, large-scale projects that have contributed to the enhancement of the surrounding community.

Bruce Niedermyer

Jonathan Martin

During RDG's annual spring stockholder's meeting, the firm introduced advancements in ownership with six new stockholders, five new partners, and one senior partner. Two of these recent advancements are individuals within the landscape architecture studio: Bruce Niedermyer, stockholder. He is a LEED accredited professional and has experience with a wide range of project types including open space planning, park design, campus planning, and streetscape revitalization efforts. Throughout his work, he continuously incorporates sustainable principles in all stages of design. Jonathan Martin, partner, has a passion for college and university work has led him to focus on various aspects of the planning and design of college and university campuses. Integration with client groups and key design professionals in the planning and design process.

Chris Simpson

Chris Simpson has joined Stone Age Manufacturing as a factory sales representative. Simpson brings more than 12 years of Hardscape and pond sales experience in retail and wholesale sales, as well as retail sales department management.

Alan Weene

Alan Weene has been named the head of marketing and technical support for BioNova(R) Natural Pools North America. He is a graduate of Connecticut College with a bachelor of arts degree in architectural studies and he is a candidate for the master of sustainable design degree at the Boston Architectural College. His passion for sustainability and aquatics led him to join BioNova(R) in 2012, where he frequently conducts educational seminars on natural swimming pool technology to educate homeowners and industry professionals.

Noel Fehr

Noel Fehr has been appointed to the Missouri Board for Architects, Professional Engineers, Professional Land Surveyors and Landscape Architects. For 73 years the board has worked to enforce regulations contained in Chapter 327 of Missouri state law and oversee the licensing of over 25,000 design professionals in the state. The purpose of the 13 member board is to protect the health, safety and welfare of the citizens of Missouri. Fehr is a registered landscape architect and founding principal of Planning Design Studio. He is a past president of the St. Louis Chapter of ASLA and has previously served on several boards in the St. Louis area.
