NJLCA in Search of New Executive Director

Jody Shilan Leaves NJLCA

Jody Shilan has over 40 years of experience working in the green industry. He is a Past President of the NJLCA and served as executive director for over four years. He is an award winning designer and owner of Jody Shilan Designs, LLC. (Upper Saddle River). He holds an undergraduate degree in Landscape Architecture (BSLA) from Rutgers University and a graduate degree in Landscape Architecture (MLA) from the University of Massachusetts.

Nelson Lee, president of the the New Jersey Landscape Contractors Association, announced today that Jody Shilan will no longer be acting as the Executive Director for the organization.

Shilan has led the NJLCA for over four years and has accomplished many great things. The Board has already met and will begin the search for a new executive director. The association is taking a proactive stance, reaching out and asking its members for recommendations on people who can assume the role vacated by Shilan.

"If you know of anyone who would be a great fit for the NJLCA as an Executive Director, or have comments that you think would help the executive and search committee with this process, please contact us," said Lee. "And don't forget, Gail [Woolcott] is available in the office to assist our members with any questions or concerns. You can also contact any board member, myself or Vice President Richard Goldstein should you have any questions," he added.

Their annual trade show on March 8, is still set to move forward. More updates will be posted as they become available.
