Oasis Design Group, a Baltimore-based landscape architecture, master planning and urban design firm, has joined Kimley-Horn, a national planning, design and engineering firm based on Raleigh, N.C. Oasis is now operating under the Kimley-Horn name.

Oasis Design Group was founded in 2005 by Scott Scarfone, ASLA, PLA. Oasis specializes in designing botanic gardens, conservatories, and arboreta. The firm's diverse project portfolio includes public gardens and parks, urban riverfronts, streetscapes, plazas, mixed-use developments, wineries, ecological preserves and multifamily residential communities.

"We're excited about the enhanced capabilities that Scott brings to our Baltimore office and our national landscape architecture team," said Steve Lefton, PLA, AICP, a principal in the Reston, Virginia office of Kimley-Horn. "His innovative designs and planning expertise will provide a wonderful complement to the creative, collaborative team at Kimley-Horn. I'm thrilled that he's joining us."

"Kimley-Horn's client-centered approach, strong work ethic, corporate culture and values, and opportunity for growth in the marketplace were important factors for the move to Kimley-Horn," said Scott Scarfone.

Kimley-Horn is a 2,800-person firm with more than 75 offices nationwide. Ranked in the top-two retail and multiunit residential design firms in the nation by Engineering News-Record, the firm recently celebrated its 10th appearance on Fortune magazine's list of "100 Best Companies to Work For." Kimley-Horn provides planning and design consulting services related to land development, urban planning, landscape architecture, transit, aviation, multimodal transportation, water resources and the environment.
