''PLANET Gives Back'' in Louisville

Professional Landcare Network

The Professional Landcare Network (PLANET) will hold their second annual ''PLANET Gives Back'' project, a volunteer service event where approximately 50 PLANET member volunteers will enhance two facilities in downtown Louisville.

Engelhard Elementary School will be the main project site, with the focus being on building an outdoor classroom and general landscaping around the school grounds.

Work at the second project site, Bridgehaven Mental Health Services, will include paver installation, installing an outdoor barbeque/picnic area and general property maintenance.

The event is set to take place on Wednesday, October 24th, during the Green Industry Conference (GIC) in Louisville, Kentucky. Lead sponsors for ''PLANET Gives Back'' are Agrium Advanced Technologies, GIE+EXPO, and JOHN DEERE.

Glenn Jacobsen, Landscape Industry Certified Manager and PLANET President-Elect, said ''We are so proud to be back again for our second annual PLANET Gives Back. This event is another example of our members coming together to utilize their skills and resources to help beautify and give back to this great city of Louisville.''
