Playworld Systems & Cal Ripken Team Up






Play structures are scheduled for Ripken Stadium in Aberdeen, Md., Lake Olmstead Stadium in Augusta, Ga. and the Ripken Experience in Myrtle Beach, S.C. (pictured).


Playworld Systems, Inc. has signed on to become the preferred supplier of park and playground equipment for baseball Hall-of-Famer Cal Ripen Jr. and Ripken Management & Design, LLC. The partnership includes building play structures at Ripken Baseball owned and operated minor league facilities and youth sports complexes. Play structures are scheduled for Ripken Stadium in Aberdeen, Md., Lake Olmstead Stadium in Augusta, Ga. and the Ripken Experience in Myrtle Beach, S.C.

"Minor league baseball and youth sports are about providing play, entertainment, and fun for all ages," Ripken said. "Playworld playgrounds give us an outstanding option at all of our locations and ... keep families coming back to our complexes."

Ripken Baseball owns two minor league teams, the Aberdeen Ironbirds and the Augusta Greenjackets. The teams' stadiums feature "Kid Zones" for their young fans that offer playgrounds, inflatables and baseball clinics.
