In Southwest Florida, year-round conservation measures limiting lawn watering to twice per week, except where stricter local regulations exist, continue in all or portions of 16 counties. Hillsborough, Pasco and Pinellas counties have shorter watering periods than the rest.

From May 1 to Oct. 1, watering in Denver is limited to three times a week. Fines can also be issued for a number of wasteful practices.

In the first of its kind, California officials approved statewide emergency water restrictions affecting lawn watering, car washing, driveway and sidewalk cleaning.

For all Oklahoma City residential and commercial water customers, mandatory odd/even watering remains in effect. Two-day-a-week watering will be triggered when the supply hits 50 percent or less.

Irrigation of landscaped areas with hose-end sprinklers or automatic irrigation systems in Dallas is limited to no more than twice per week defined by a mandatory schedule. No watering is allowed on Mondays, Tuesdays or Fridays.
