Tree Hazard Assessment

Friday, March 13th - 11:00 am - 12:30 pm Presented by: Susan Sims CEUs: TBA

Course Description:
"Tree Risk Assessment" is a photographic education on what to look for, when to monitor, and how to mitigate. Susan has photographed trees of interest during her 42 years in the tree care business as an ISA Board Certified Master Arborist and ISA Qualified Tree Risk Assessor. Susan will acquaint you with the tree risk assessment system, looking logically at whether a tree is a risk or when it is of less concern. Know when it is time to prune, cable, bolt, prop, or remove. By taking this class you will learn from the mature tree and a few young ones why it is important to select, plant, train, maintain correctly, and know when to let go. At the very least you will know when to bring out a pro to aid you in your assessment.

Susan Sims, owner of Sims Tree Health Specialists and Learning Center, graduated from California Polytechnic University Pomona with a BA in Agricultural Biology and a minor in Plant Pathology and Ornamental Horticulture. Sims is an Agricultural Biologist, a certified, arborist, tree risk assessor, urban forester, California licensed landscape contractor, agriculture advisor and applicator.
