49th LAbash Hosted by U. of Georgia

The theme of this year's LAbash is "Find Your Roots," encouraging students to recognize the traditions of the landscape architectural professional while also exploring their own roots in design.

The 2019 LAbash, an event that brings together students in landscape architecture programs across the country and professionals who wish to see the next generation of landscape architects in action, will be hosted by the University of Georgia College of Environment + Design in Athens, Georgia. The annual event offers seminars, workshops, tours of the UGA campus and a design competition for students.

The design competition gives landscape architecture students the chance to participate in a real-world project and showcase what they have learned from their respective schools. The winning student will receive $2000. Second place will receive $1000, and both of the top competitors will be publicly recognized at the LAbash closing ceremony.

The event will begin on Thursday, April 4 and will come to a close on Saturday, April 6. Student tickets are $135, and tickets for professionals are $200. Registration to attend the LAbash ends April 1, and registration to sponsor the event ends April 4. To register for the event, click HERE.
