TreeTown USA Supports UC Davis Program

CCUH has an advisory council of individuals from several areas in the urban horticulture field and partners from academic institutions and public agencies.

TreeTown USA has announced that it has made a donation to the University of California, Davis' California Center for Urban Horticulture (CCUH) to help develop water-conserving landscapes under the school's SmartLandscape Initiative. According to a BusinessWire press release, this donation is part of the company's commitment to support the horticulture industry in providing resources for conservation efforts and sustainable urban landscapes.

Some of the SmartLandscape Initiative are as follows:
• Demonstrate how water conservation and efficient landscapes work with the latest irrigation technology
• Connect industry professionals with academic researchers and students
• Conduct science-based research
• Leverage cutting-edge technology (robotics, UAVs, imaging, etc.)
• Provide policymakers with landscape water conservation and water efficiency information.

CCUH partners for workshops and programs include:
• University of California Nursery and Floriculture Alliance
• Foundation Plant Services
• UC Davis Department of Entomology and Nematology
